CODE CLUB
The Library Learning Commons has a brand new arcade game console made by students in Mr Martin's grade 9 classes. Not only is the console made by students, the games are also created and coded by students at HGI! Students in all grades are invited to "learn to code" and are challenged to pursue game design as their passion.
Coding Club is a safe space for coders of all abilities to meet and work together. Newbies will work independently and collaboratively on various coding challenges to learn the basics. Intermediate students are welcome to work on the same challenges or explore other coding languages.
Not interested in gaming but still want to code? Come on down! Many aspects of our modern life rely on computer code. Simulations, AI, web design, robotics, meteorology, medicine, finance and household appliances all use code.
