All students at HGI in grades 5-8 will participate in lessons led by Ms. Welbergen in topics to support information literacy, media literacy, inquiry and design thinking, and digital citizenship.

 

All of these topics are covered through a series of lessons referred to as Digital Learning Capacity (DLC),  

 

It is the goal of Ms. Welbergen and the Library Learning Commons to support the HGI Mission Statement by providing opportunities and resources for students and staff members.

HGI is a proud BYOD school, and students are guided to integrate technology in meaningful ways to support their learning.

How do we encourage this? We introduce mobile apps and websites for personal development, information research, curation, sharing and creation.
